Who’s ready for some fun in the spring? We as a society are excited to enjoy the experience of fun and music with our community. The Nutty Brown Amphitheater is open and hosting performances. Additionally, most concert venues are back open for business. There are some exciting events coming up in and around Austin this April. Here are some upcoming outdoor festivals.
First up on the list is the Tacos, Tequila, and Cerveza Festival! It will be on Saturday, April 17th, from 12-6 PM. The best tacos, tequila, and mariachi music will be available along 6th St. It’s free to enter since you’ll be spending $$ on the irresistible food! However, if you prefer a different type of alcoholic beverage and culinary experience, check out the Austin Food and Wine Festival on Sunday, April 25th. It will be at Auditorium Shores at Town Lake Metropolitan Park beginning at 8:30 AM. Don’t miss out on the chance to try local wines.
This upcoming weekend (Friday, April 9-Sunday, 4/11), come on down to The Music Ranch for a drive-in concert! On Saturday, drive up and get your tunes with local rock bands. Also going on this weekend is the Austin RV Expo. Housing mortgages are overrated. Travel and live your best life in an RV. Afterward, the 2021 New Works Festival will go on from Monday, 4/12 – 4/16. Here, you can witness new-age dancing and performances at the University of Texas.
There will be a lot going on the weekend of April 17th & 18th. This includes Reggae Fest (also called Marley Fest) for the entire weekend. Rapper Tech N9ne will be at Emo’s on Sunday, 4/18. A more laid-back event going on this weekend is Moonlight & Music. Serene music, peaceful vibes, yoga, and delicious healthy meals will be available at Wild Heart Yoga. Attention musical fanatics: Wicked will be coming on stage on Saturday the 24th! They will be at Bass Concert Hall. Wicked is one of, if not the most popular musical of our time.
