Fun Things To Do Around Austin This Month
Are you looking for some ideas on how to wrap up 2021? Here are some things to do around Austin this month. First, we’ll look at family-friendly things to do, then peek at stuff for those 21 and up. End the year on a good note!
Family-friendly Austin fun
- The Blue Genie Holiday Art Bazaar. Instead of the usual Starbucks or Target gift cards (or maybe in combination with), gift some local-made art. This month-and-a-half-long market will have a wide array of art, including holiday decorations.
- Austin’s Trail of Lights or Peppermint Parkway. Austin is famous for its Trail of Lights, and it is fun for a quick drive-thru. But, if you’re looking for something to do for the whole evening, check out Peppermint Parkway at Circuit of the Americas. It will have a trail of lights, along with holiday activities and carnival rides. Trail of Lights runs from now until Dec. 31, while Peppermint Parkway will operate up to Monday, January 3.
Adult Holiday Fun
- Not entirely holiday-related, but there is a new Biergarten in Austin that would love to spend the holidays kicking off their new establishment in high spirits. Koko’s Barvarian is a little taste of Wurstfest, year-round. They have 30 selections of beers to choose from. They opened up on the 3rd- go say hi!
- Happy Holigays! So, imagine the Blue Genie Bazaar, but make it gay. Here at the Holigay Market, around 50 vendors sell their art & homemade goods. Enjoy a free cup of coffee to keep you warm as you browse for gifts. And, bring your fur baby with you because it is dog-friendly!
Any of these activities will be sure to bring holiday cheer. Almost everyone enjoys seeing pretty lights if you want to check out San Antonio’s riverwalk light display. What are your plans for this month? No matter what holiday(s) you celebrate, we hope they are all merry and cheerful! Enjoy the lights and shopping!
