Keynotes and Speakers to Watch For During SXSW 2018

SXSW Interactive is right around the corner! With so many speakers coming from all over the world to discuss numerous topics, it can be easy to get lost in the excitement. If you’re looking for some of the highlights of SXSW Interactive, or want to know which sessions to keep booked in your schedule, we have you covered. Here are some of the highly anticipated keynote and session speakers to watch for this year.

  1. Nonny de la Peña

Commonly known as “the Godmother of VR,” Nonny de la Peña has been in the virtual reality business for over 10 years. She is the founder and CEO of Emblematic Group, a digital media company which is focused on immersive, mixed, virtual, and augmented reality services. Nonny de la Peña is a New America National Fellow, and has recently been listed as of the “13 People Who Made the World More Creative.”  She will narrate her personal journey and experience in VR and will also be discussing the power of VR/AR as a medium for creativity and kindness. Additionally, she will be revealing the power of “Reach,” a new platform which will open a door for content authorship through WebVR technology.

  1. Whurley

Best known as the CEO and founder of the quantum computing startup Strangeworks, whurley will be educated SXSW goers on the power of quantum computing. He will be discussing how quantum computing will change the computing landscape and the repercussions of this powerful superpower. This emerging superpower technology has the power to create a paradigm shift, and whurley will be diving into its uses and applications. The who, what, and why is about to be very important for all of us.

  1. Brian Behlendorf

The Executive Director of Hyperledger, Brian Behlendorf brings his knowledge of and experience with blockchain to the SXSW stage. Hyperledger is an open source blockchain project a the Linux Foundation, and Mr. Behlendorf will be speaking about his experience with blockchain and the future of technology investment. He has served on the board of the Mozilla Foundation and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Additionally, Behlendorf was the CTO of the World Economic Forum, and currently serves as the managing director of the global technology investment firm, Mithril Capital.

  1. Josephine Goube

A hacktivist for social inclusion, Josephine Goube works for the benefits of migrants and refugees. She is the CEO of Techfugees, a non-profit which helps the tech community respond to migrant and refugee challenges in 25 countries around the world. Goube promotes the use of new mobile and digital technologies to bring education, information, and healthcare to the displaced. She will be serving as the opening speaker for SXSW.

  1. Bob Gruters

Mr. Gruters serves as the US Group Lead for Facebook’s Entertainment + Technology and Connectivity business teams. Gruters oversees the marketing relationships between brands and across these different verticals. He has extensive experience in marketing and advertising, spanning television, digital, print, and more. Gruters brings his experience to SXSW and will be sharing his experience, insights, and thoughts about the future of marketing.

Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good success. If you know of any please share. Cheers!
