“There’s an app for that.”
With over 2 million apps now available online through Google Play and Apple’s App Store, this phrase has never been more true. But in a market oversaturated with the latest and greatest tech for your phone, what makes an app stand out from the rest of the pack?
First things first: your app must allow users to navigate its interface with ease. Even the most creative ideas will fall short if they aren’t made with a focus on your customer. Apps are supposed to improve our lives –– not make us scratch our heads as we attempt to figure out how to use them. For this, a simple, easy-to-use product is key.
This, of course, is the very idea behind the phrase “there’s an app for that.” Whether it’s combating boredom, checking movie times, or listening to the latest album releases, your app must offer users a simple solution to an obstacle they’re attempting to hurdle in their day-to-day lives.
With a plethora of other apps to choose from, why should users choose yours? Making your service free, even if it’s just for a limited time, provides this incentive. And while 99 cents may not seem like much, it often determines the choice between you and your competitors.
You can’t attract everyone’s attention without first making your service available to everyone. And with 2.5 billion smartphone users projected to occupy the market in 2019, you want to make sure your app doesn’t exclude a single one of them.
As of 2018, it’s estimated that 150 to 200 languages are spoken by more than a million people. Leveraging your app’s functionality to include many of them, instead of just English, Mandarin, or Spanish, can make all the difference in in determining its global market appeal.
Design is just as big of a factor as user-friendliness in determining an app’s success. You want to ensure that your app is sleek, stylish, and easy to look at to boost consumer experience. Remember: if your product isn’t appealing to your own eye, it’s doubtful that it will catch anyone else’s.

Appreciating the commitment you put into your website and detailed information you present. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed information. Wonderful read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
